Documents required to sell gold — Aadhaar on the Vyasarpadi counter

Documents required to sell gold

Documents for selling gold at this counter: Aadhaar every sale. PAN (or Form 60) above ₹2 lakh. A bill is helpful, not required.

Documents required to sell gold are not a mystery. Indian gold buyers are not supposed to take a bag of jewellery and hand over cash with no name attached. At Sri Lakshmi Aurum the rule is simple: Aadhaar on every sale; PAN or Form 60 when the payment is above ₹2 lakh. That is the same as documents required to sell gold in India at any careful counter.

Aadhaar

Bring the card or a clear digital copy. This is KYC for every sale, including silver and doorstep visits. We do not buy from a person who will not identify themselves.

PAN or Form 60

When the amount crosses ₹2 lakh, tax law expects PAN — or Form 60 if you do not have a PAN. We will say this at the counter before you decide to sell a large lot. Bank transfer is how larger amounts are usually paid.

Pledged gold

  • Pledge slip or loan receipt (or a WhatsApp photo first)
  • Aadhaar; PAN above ₹2 lakh
  • Any closure form the lender has given you

A purchase bill from a jewellery shop is useful history. It is not what decides purity. That is the touchstone, in front of you.

Can we sell gold without PAN card? Yes, if the amount is ₹2 lakh or below. Selling gold PAN card is needed above that line — or Form 60.

Can I sell gold without ID? No. Aadhaar is mandatory on every sale, including silver and doorstep.

Can I sell gold without documents? Not without Aadhaar. Documents required to sell gold in India at a registered shop start with KYC.

The person at the counter must be able to complete KYC. Jointly owned pieces need both stories — ask us first.

Still unsure?

WhatsApp a photo of what you have. We will say if it is enough.
